When to use Mepilex Transfer
Mepilex Transfer is designed for a wide range of exuding wounds such as fungating tumours, epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), donor sites, and venous leg ulcers. Mepilex Transfer allows the exudate to move into a secondary absorbent pad as Mesorb or Mextra Superabsorbent. The Safetac layer seals around the wound edges, preventing the exudate to leak onto the surrounding skin, thus minimises the risk for maceration. It also ensures less damage to the wound and skin at dressing changes. Mepilex Transfer can be cut to suit various wound shapes and locations. Safetac is a patented adhesive technology that minimises pain to patients and trauma to wounds.
