Cellacast Xtra Casting Tape and Splints

Synthetic material for exceptionally lightweight supports with high strength; for immobilisation after fractures, operations and orthopaedic corrections; for treatment of joint and bone disorders; ideal for promoting mobilisation and for bandaging child patients.

Cellacast Xtra bandages and splints are economical in material consumption. They have widthwise and diagonal stretch for easier bandaging and moulding.

All the techniques familiar from Plaster of Paris apply equally to Cellacast Xtra, e.g. for opening, bivalving, windowing, combining with walking heels, hinging etc.

Cellacast Xtra bandages are lightweight, permeable to air, X-ray transparent and waterproof once hardened.

Knitted fibreglass fabric impregnated with polyurethane resin; bandages wound on a reel core (PP), splints packed in 4 layers and individually sealed in aluminium composite foil; unpadded pre-cuts for applying splints and for the reinforcement of circular casts.
