Antimicrobial Non-woven Calcium Alginate Dressing - For heavily exuding colonised & infected wounds

• Suprasorb A+Ag has the absorptive capacity to cope with highly exuding wounds.
• The dressing creates a clean wound environment and the reduction of bacteria in infective wounds as a result of the antimicrobial properties of silver.
• Silver ions are released on contact with the wound exudate. They exert their effect directly at the wound surface due to the production of gel by the alginate.

Indications

Heavily exuding, superficial,deep and cavity, critically colonised or infected wounds in the exudation and granulation phase, e.g: pressure ulcers, ulcers of various origins (e.g. venous, arterial), diabetic foot ulcers, skin donor and skin grafting sites, post operative wounds, partial thickness burns.

Contra-indications

The dressing is not suitable for dry wound conditions or for 3rd degree burns. Do not use in the case of a known sensitivity to any components (i.e. silver) of Suprasorb A+Ag antimicrobial, Calcium Alginate Wound dressing or rope.
